ORIGIN

“West Lake Longjing” is a legal term, referring exclusively to Longjing tea with its raw materials from original West Lake Longjing tea area. It is selected strictly in spring "one bud and two leaves", plucked once a year, processed by masterful hands by the traditional "Longjing Ten Frying Methods".

It is awarded as an “Origin of Production Product” by the Chinese government. Historically, “West Lake Longjing” has been listed as the best of all types of Chinese fresh green teas since the 17th century.Tsing Dynasty Emperor Qian Long(1711-1799) travelled far from Beijing down to Hangzhou four times in his life to find out about this outstanding green tea.


 

FORM, COLOUR, TASTE, AROMA

"West Lake Longjing” green tea is incomparable for its "Four Beauties": perfect Form, golden green Color, dense and long lasting Aroma and refreshing Taste.


Pre-Grain Rain is made from spring tea buds plucked only between 10 April - 20 April.

How to brew West Lake Longjing:

A porcelain or glass Gaiwan is the best.

Preparation: 2 g per 1 dl Gaiwan, 80-90 ℃ water (the softer the water, the lower the temperature). Refill up to 4 times.

  1. Warm the Gaiwan, put in 2 g of tea;
  2. Pour in ¼ water and gently move the tea cup for the tea leaves to come to the average temperature;
  3. Smell the inside of lid - fresh green tea fragrance;
  4. Pour in all the water in an up-down-up-down way to mobilise the tea leaves;
  5. Infuse for 2 minutes.
